Inspections:

Special Inspection I:

• Heat Exchanger Tubing Inspection Tech.


In the inspection of heat exchanger tubing by eddy current testing, flaw size and its location are evaluated through the phase and magnitude of signal on impedance plane.

• Thickness Gager Using EMAT(EM-2000)

The thickness gager using electro-magnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) doesn’t liquid couplant as well as removal of oxide coating.

• Pipe Socket Weld Point Inspection Tech.

The inspection of pipe socket weld is difficult and magnetic particle testing and liquid penetrant testing are usually done to inspect the surface of pipe socket.

• Ultrasonic Inpection Tech. to Test Austenitic Weld

The austentic weld zone has anisotropy and coarse grain size in the microstructure. The coarse grain structure combined with the marked anisotropy is the reason for the strong scattering which for a long time has made ultrasonic testing of such structures using transverse waves impossible.

• Tubin Rotor / Blade Inspection Tech.

Due to the complicated shape of turbin rotor/blade, it needs high inspection technology. We have well established ultrasonic test procedure as well as special engineers and have been achieved high reliability in this area.

• Intelligent Pigging for Inspection of Pipeline

In order to meet the high requirements regarding availability, economic use and pipeline safety in an efficient manner, intelligent pigs are increasingly being used for preventive pipeline inspections.

Special Inspection II:

• TOFD (Time of Flight Diffraction)

- More complete and accurate characterization and sizing of defects.
- Weld Inspection using Motorized Scanner, Handheld Scanner.
- Corrosion diagnostic (reject/accept) based an automated image analysis.

• Crawler System to Inspect Pipeline Inner Side

- 360 rotation of mirror.
- Scan distance and location can be known by encoder.
- Inspection of pipelines larger than 100mm ID.

• Radiographic Test Using a Radioisotope Se-75

When the radioisotope, SE-75 is substituted for Ir-192 as a radiation source in radiographic testing, it is found that the exposure tine increases up to 1.0 – 1.6 times and the exposure dose-rate decreases to 0.44 – 0.60 times with increment of thickness of carbon steel.

• Tangential and Density Profile Radiography

Compared to tangential radiography, it needs relatively short exposure time to obtain the proper density condition but can inspect the more wide area of pipe in a shooting, so it can help to reduce the irradiation to the RT workers and to enhance productivity of radiograohic testing for thickness measurement.

• Replica to Assess Material Degradation

The in-situ evaluation of micro-structural deterioration in the materials subjected to severe environments of high pressure and temperature is one of the most important technologies for the remaining life assessment.
